Granby, October 16th, 2019 – Artopex inc. announces an investment of $4M for the expansion of its Sherbrooke plant. This project is part of the company’s strategic plan to improve its manufacturing capacity and to sustain its growth in North America. The production plant for lounge chair and furniture collections will double in area, specifically for manufacturing and storage.
“The expansion of our Sherbrooke plant is another step forward to sustain our growth plan and to guarantee competitiveness in our different target markets” states Daniel Pelletier, president and CEO, Artopex inc. “This increase in area combined with our skilled workforce will significantly improve our productivity”, he continues.
This announcement ensures the continuity of the Quebec manufacturer’s expansion plan, notably marked by an investment project initiated in April 2018 for the automation and robotization of the head office plant located in Granby.
The groundbreaking symbolizing the beginning of construction took place this morning at Artopex's Sherbrooke plant in the presence of clients, partners, and employees. The completion of the expansion project is planned for early 2020.
